Spreading Kindness

This year I wanted to do something special; to me, this meant giving back in an act of service that would put a smile on someone’s face. After my very first event, I remember taking all the flowers home and thinking to myself. “Man, I don’t want these to go to waste.” That night, I broke them all down and separated the flowers into little bundles. I live for inspirational quotes so I wrote little notes to tuck into each ribbon.

The next day at sunset, I handed the flowers out to people walking down the beach. Everyone shared the same surprised but big goofy smile on their face. 

For me, it started as a way to eliminate waste and bring a little joy to a stranger.

To celebrate my birthday, I thought bringing this idea back and getting all my girlfriends involved would be a fun activity for us…
